We held a Children’s Party for our patients with upper and lower limb difference. It was an opportunity for the children to play and interact with each other, but also for the parents to network. We hosted 25 children, fancy dress was encouraged (and compulsory for staff!). We enjoyed face painting, biscuit decorating, crafts, a climbing frame with a slide, snacks and lots of balloons! It was a great afternoon that was really beneficial for the patients many of whom haven’t met anyone similar to them before. It was lovely to see them interacting and playing together.  Lots of the parents have made new friends and many of them have made dates to meet up again.

It was a really enjoyable afternoon and reminded us again, why we do what we do!
