Group statement of compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
This statement is made in compliance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes AM Healthcare Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st October 2024. This statement of compliance applies for all wholly owned subsidiaries of AM Healthcare Group.
In October 2015, the Modern Slavery Act came into effect. This legislation requires all companies who undertake business in the UK, and have an annual turnover in excess of £36 million, to inform others of how they are preventing slavery and human trafficking from within their business and supply chain.
AM Healthcare Group is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our business and supply chain operate in an ethical and responsible manner in order to address any previously unidentified issues in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Organisation structure
AM Healthcare Group consists of eleven wholly owned subsidiaries which are involved in the design, manufacturing and distribution of prosthetic, orthotic and seating products, as well as providing the associated services to the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.
Business operations and supply chain
AM Healthcare Group consists of two primary business areas: Opcare (which provides rehabilitation services) and Ortho Europe (which designs, manufactures and distributes orthotic, prosthetic and seating components).
Our supply chains include the sourcing of raw materials, the purchase of third party products and the use of distribution networks related to the manufacture of rehabilitation products. We relay our expectations and high standards in relation to the Modern Slavery Act to suppliers via our supply chain purchasing agreements. AM Healthcare Group does not undertake any business with suppliers who do not agree to this clause.

Through the above policies, further to training, we have ensured that all companies within AM Healthcare Group are aligned to the Group’s zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
Due diligence in relation to the Act
We are in the process of reviewing and amending our terms and conditions with our suppliers to ensure compliance with AM Healthcare Group’s zero tolerance approach in relation to slavery and human trafficking. We are also in the process of undertaking supplier audits to independently confirm compliance within the supply chain.
Training about slavery and human trafficking
In order to ensure the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking are understood throughout our organisation and supply chains, we are in the process of undertaking training for staff throughout the Group to ensure that the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking are fully understood. The training includes guidance to frontline staff on recognising and reporting concerns of modern slavery.
