Internal Communications Manager – Remote

We have an exciting opportunity for an adaptable self-starter who enjoys working across multiple departments and countries to deliver impactful communications as our Internal Communications Manager.

The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing and delivering the Group’s internal communications strategy, ensuring colleagues across AM Healthcare Group are informed, engaged and connected to the organisation’s purpose, priorities and values. The role leads the planning, creation and delivery of high-quality communications across a range of channels, including leadership communications, colleague engagement campaigns, business updates, events and organisational change programmes.

Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the Group, the Internal Communications Manager will champion a culture of open communication, recognition and engagement. The role will create compelling content, manage key communication channels and provide strategic communications support to ensure colleagues understand the Group’s direction, celebrate successes and feel connected to the wider organisation, helping to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.

This role collaborates closely with various departments to streamline communication processes, provide meaningful insights and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the Group’s internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with our purpose, Strategic priorities, values and culture.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all internal communications activities across AM Healthcare Group.
  • Create, edit and deliver high-quality communications content across multiple channels, including newsletters, intranet content, leadership updates, presentations, video scripts and employee communications.
  • Manage the Group’s internal communication channels, ensuring content is timely, relevant, engaging and consistent with brand standards.
  • Support senior leaders with strategic communications, including executive messaging, organisational announcements, town halls and colleague engagement activities.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of employee engagement campaigns, recognition programmes and cultural initiatives across the Group.
  • Develop and implement communication plans to support organisational change, business transformation projects and key strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across all business areas to identify communication opportunities and ensure key messages are effectively communicated.
  • Coordinate the production of internal communication materials, working with external agencies, designers, videographers and other suppliers where required.
  • Manage the Group’s annual internal communications calendar, ensuring key business events, campaigns and communications activities are planned and delivered effectively.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications activity, providing insight and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support the organisation’s employer brand by promoting colleague stories, achievements, innovations and best practice from across the Group.
  • Provide communications support for colleague events, leadership forums, conferences and other internal engagement activities.
  • Support wider business projects and strategic initiatives as required by the Senior Leadership Team
  • Establish internal communications KPIs and measure colleague engagement, channel effectiveness and campaign performance, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Explore and implement emerging communications technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve communication effectiveness and colleague engagement.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience supporting leadership communications and organisational change programmes.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience planning and delivering colleague engagement campaigns and events.
  • Ability to develop communication strategies, plans and content that support business objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Teams (including Town Hall delivery).
  • Experience using internal communication platforms, digital channels and content management systems.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify engaging ways to communicate complex information.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, reliable and accountable for delivering agreed outcomes.
  • Collaborative, approachable and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
  • Qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of four years experience in a management role in Internal Communications, Employee Engagement, Corporate Communications or a related field.

  • £50,000 – £60, 000 DOE Pro Rata (22.5 hours p/w)
